Cultural Programs
We celebrate the diversity in the Lakeway area by leading cultural events that promote unity and create opportunities for community members to share their heritage.
Tertulias
Our Tertulias are cultural meetings where community members come together and learn about different cultures in our community. The idea of the Tertulias will allow community members to engage in conversation and talk about the culture and current affairs of a country while enjoying authentic delicious food. Be on the lookout on our social media to see when the next Tertulia will be.
International Food Festival
The International Food Festival is a day-long annual event hosted by HOLA Lakeway. Here, members of the immigrant community are invited to share their customs and traditions, from food to song and dance. This event was started in 2016 by HOLA to promote both diversity and unity in the Lakeway region. Our International Food Festival is held each year at Morristown's farmers market located at 130 W Morris Blvd. from 10:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
Tianguis
A tianguis is an open-air market where you can buy food, desserts, and artisanal handicrafts. Our Tianguis market will be held on the third Friday of each month. It will be held at the farmers market located at 130 W Morris Blvd. from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM. This event will be a recurring event from May to December.
